What happens to the feelings we push aside?

Most of us have become quite good at quickly moving on when something feels uncomfortable.

Something happens that leaves us disappointed, frustrated, hurt, or worried.

But we have responsibilities, people counting on us, and things we want to accomplish, so we tell ourselves to move on, think positively, or focus on what needs to get done.

And sometimes we do move forward, at least on the surface.

But just because we’ve moved on from an experience doesn’t necessarily mean we’ve processed how we feel about it.

Those feelings can continue to influence us in ways we don’t always recognize. They may show up in how we react to a situation, the decisions we make, or the familiar patterns we find ourselves repeating.

We can spend so much time working on our thoughts, beliefs, and mindset without realizing that something deeper is asking for our attention.

And here’s what I find especially important:

Honoring our feelings doesn’t mean we have to become overwhelmed by them.

There’s a difference between allowing ourselves to feel an emotion and becoming so caught up in it that we lose our ability to choose how we want to respond.

What if, instead of immediately trying to change what you’re feeling, you could pause long enough to acknowledge it?

I’m disappointed. I’m frustrated. I’m afraid of what might happen next.

And rather than judging yourself or needing to understand exactly why the feeling is there, you could begin learning how to allow it, process it, and move forward with greater freedom.

I believe this is such an important part of personal transformation. We’re not simply learning to think differently. We’re learning to relate to our entire experience differently.

And that’s why I’m excited to invite you to a special workshop where my friend and mentor Lauren Brollier Newton will be showing us how we can work with our feelings rather than pushing them aside.

You’ll learn:

  • How to process difficult emotions in a simple, practical way,
  • Why feelings we haven’t fully processed may continue influencing our lives
  • How to begin addressing even those feelings we aren’t consciously aware of.
  • Why woving through feelings can be much quicker and easier than you thought

What I especially appreciate about this approach is that it doesn’t require you to search through your past, uncover every painful experience, or even understand exactly why you’re feeling a certain way.

Instead, you’ll learn a method for honoring and processing your emotions so they don’t have to keep standing between you and the life you’re creating.

If you’ve been doing the inner work and still find certain feelings or patterns returning, I think this workshop could offer some valuable new insight.

Because creating a life of greater joy and freedom isn’t about never experiencing difficult emotions. It’s about learning how to meet those emotions without allowing them to determine what’s possible for us.

I’d love for you to join us!
